Coach Robert is the Head Baseball Instructor for TBSA Patriots. He played at Miami Coral Park High, where he was a four year letterman and also played four years in College as a second baseman. He was drafted by the Montreal Expo's/Washington Nationals as a catcher and played professionally for five years. For the past ten years, he has been coaching at the high school level as well as elite travel ball and showcase teams. He is now working with Miami Marlins as an assistant coach of the Triple A New Orleans Baby Cakes. Coach Robert is involved in the development of every player on the TBSA Patriots travel teams, camps, and clinics. When he is not on the field with players, he enjoys time with his wife, their three boys and baby girl.
Coach Ryan was a four year starter for Dunedin High School's varsity team and was drafted directly out of high school by the Cubs in the 1st round, 6th overall pick. Coach Ryan played eleven years of professional baseball as an outfielder and one year as a pitcher. He shares his knowledge and helps guide all of the TBSA Patriots as they learn the game of baseball. He continues his love of the sport by representing with Team USA Softball. He's a local boy come home to help advance players within his own community. When he is not on the field coaching or playing, Coach Ryan enjoys time with his wife and son.
Coach Roberto played in high school and professionally for eight years in the Minor Leagues in MiLB, Cuba, Canada and Nicaragua. He specializes in middle infield and hitting. He is the manager of the 9U patriots. Coach Roberto enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter during his time away from the baseball field. Coach Felix played at Westwood Christian high school in Miami. He has been coaching youth baseball and softball for twenty years. Most of his time was spent in the Miami area coaching travel teams. The last four have been with the TBSA Patriots. Coach Felix is responsible for the operational aspects of the academy.
Coach Craig began his career playing baseball for Cecil Community College in 1990. He played Independent Leagues with the Kentucky Rifles and Elmira Pioneers between 1994 -1999, and was an Associate Scout with Seattle Mariners for 2 years. Coach Craig spent time as a Support Specialist with the Philadelphia Phillies Baseball camp where he oversaw the coaching staff and monitored small group instruction of players ages 7-14. He has an extensive background in baseball, instructing players of all ages and abilities. Additionally, he has held several positions as Pitching Coach nationwide, most recently with Salem Community College, Largo High School and Penn State Brandywine. Coach Craig served as Pitching Coach for the Geneva Twins Professional Development League in New York in 2012. In 2014, he was head coach at the Delaware Safety and Security School and went 10-8 on the season. Coach Craig is currently coaching at Seffner Christian School and is the 11U Navy manager. Coach AB played at Pinellas Park High School and has helped coach all the TBSA Patriots teams for the past two years. He is involved with both fielding and hitting practices for our multiple teams.
Coach Tracy played at Dixie Hollins High School as a pitcher and at the University of Florida. He has coached youth travel ball for the past six years with the last three as the assistant pitching coach here at the academy. Coach Jason is the manager of the 13U Navy Patriots. Coach Jeff played in high school before moving on to play all four years at the University of North Dakota. He was a freshman all-american in 2012, 1st team all WAC in 2015, as well as College Home Run Derby Champion. While racking up an impressive college career, Coach Jeff received a degree in the study of Kinesiology. After college, Coach Jeff went on to sign with the Atlanta Braves organization. He now brings his love of the game and knowledge to the TBSA Patriots where he not only shares his baseball knowledge and passion but also puts his study of Kinesiology to good use in conditioning and preparing all athletes bodies to perform at their best. Total Baseball Sports Academy Patriarch, Coach Johnny, has coached every level of baseball over the past 35 years which includes high school, junior college, division I, and also the University of Miami (FL). He has coached for multiple Major League organizations as well, serving every aspect of the clubs from hitting instructor to manager. Coach Johnny has been a scout with Astros, Angels, Mets and Brewers organizations. Currently, he is with the St. Louis Cardinals organization, serving as manager of the Spikes minor league team. He is the Head Pitching Instructor for the TBSA Patriots and his years of knowledge spill over to every aspect of the teams development while he is in his off season from his pro club. If he is not with his professional organization or the TBSA players, he enjoys time with his loving family and watching his youngest son Sean Rodriguez play with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization.
Coach Adam has been with TBSA Patriots for the past four years. He is involved with every team in the academy. You will find him primarily with the 11U Red and 13U Red this season. He is also serves as a communications director and is involved in most of the day to day operations at TBSA. He has been involved with youth sports in Pinellas county for the past 9 years.
Coach Mike played four years at Key West High, helping them win back to back State Championships in '95 - '96. His college career was cut short after a career ending knee injury. He has shared his love of the game with multiple elite travel team programs. He has coached for the last ten years and guided some of his teams to multiple years of national ranking and a national title. He has also coached teams for USA Baseball NTIS program. He now enjoys training all of the players involved with the TBSA Patriots. Coach Mike is the manager of the 11U Red Patriots and is responsible for day to day baseball operations and all of the field practices for the academy teams.
